eighth fusion - video

[beholdmydemons]

[The post starts off normally enough; Walter flips on the video and starts talking right away. He's got a small Chimchar sitting on his shoulders, arms around his head and dozing quietly, and Pokemon in the background seem to be busy with something - possibly cleaning, from the looks of it.]

To anyone who knew Ramza, he disappeared from Johto over the weekend. I know he'd want to be certain his Pokemon fare well in his absence, so-

[He's interrupted for a moment by a harried-looking Drapion, who taps him on the shoulder and hands him a Pokemon egg. Walter takes it from her without thinking, continuing with his sentence.]

-if you've found one from him, make note of it. He'd a number of Skarmory, a Houndoom, a Purrloin, a-

[The egg jolts and cracks, drawing Walter's attention. It hatches almost in an instant, leaving a flopping Magikarp.

...and a suddenly wide-eyed trainer.]

HGAAAGH!

[The 'Gear goes flying, the Magikarp goes flying, from the loud sounds of things crashing into each other it seems like Walter has also gone flying, and there are Chimchar yelps and frantic Drapion yells to accompany the storm of loud, indignant (but a little high-pitched and unnerved-sounding) swearing that starts up.]

-OF ALL THE FOULEST DAMNED THINGS-!!

[A Skarmory beak grabs up the Pokegear and shuts it off with an unconcerned chirp.]

Walter grimaces at the camera for a moment, looking flustered, clearly searching for a snappy comeback and coming up blank.]

...H-hush. [He settles on that, lamely.]

[He bristles, but leaves the message alone for a few minutes.

Comes back looking like he's trying not to look grouchy.]

_{[He was going to respond with some nice words, but that scream gets Bert to scream, which gets the Archen on his shoulder to 'fly' up and crash into the Swablu perched on his other shoulder.]}

_{[WALTER LOOK WHAT YOU DID--okay not really that was his own fault for having the 'gear so close to him.]}

Walter! H-Hey, Walter! I-Is everything okay over there? _{[...You know, besides the fish.]}

Just fine! [Except his voice is definitely still pitched a little high.

The Skarmory pokes her beak into view of the camera, smiling like nothing's wrong. Walter pushes her away gingerly.]

You- [COUGH] -you've not found any of his team, have you?

Are you sure? You still sound a little, uh... A little sca--_{[Okay using the word 'scared' here doesn't seem like the best idea, so...]} A little surprised.

_{[.....That sure is a metal bird. He gives a small wave of his fingers in greeting, though the concern still hasn't left his face.]}

But I haven't. I've just been running into Stantler off and on until this morning but if I find one I'll let you know.

[The last bit comes out more as a mumble as Leon casts his eyes somewhere offscreen.]
