thirteenth fusion

Damn but it's been a while since I've done this.

Three Pokemon for sale! Togetic at level twenty-eight, a female, cheerful, name of Beatrice. A Happiny at level twenty-seven, sweet but a little spoiled, female as well. Answers to Mary. And then an Altaria at thirty-six, a male, a little scattered. Name me your price and we'll haggle it out.

On the road again at last with hardly a care in sight. I'm the last you'll hear complaining about a life of traveling freely but lately I've had the feeling of turning a wheel over and over when it's not firm on the axle. Traveling and winning battles and having the money to continue doing so but where are we going after all. Once Pokemon are at the hundredth level can they really grow no stronger? It seems disheartening. I hope that spells out nothing about humans. I shudder to think I could look up and into the future and see a wall where an ever rising road could be.

I've languished these past weeks and only of my own failing. Come and gab and have me make a friend of you. Or a rival if you'd rather.

I'd argue they can still grow, just not in the same way as before. You can have a strong Pokémon that still fails in a fight due to inexperience or a lack of mental maturity. Even the sharpest sword is useless in the wrong hands.

Now, that doesn't mean you can't hit a brick wall eventually. Right now, this place doesn't offer much to do once you get both sets of badges beyond tourism and rematches. Still, I've seen people get by. Just depends on how goal-oriented you are, I'd say.

Like... someone who needs goals to keep their head on straight. Where if you don't have anything to strive for, you start to go nuts.

Personally? I try to keep their fitness levels up. Flight practice. Weight lifting. Spars with other Pokémon. Anything to keep them on their toes.

But I'd say my favorite tactic's to just spar with them. And yeah, that includes dealing with Fire Blasts and Hydro Pumps.

[In short, he's kinda nuts in that regard. Or just plain stubborn.]

Hey, it's something to keep you busy. And believe me, as soon as you get all the badges, you'll be wanting something to keep yourself entertained.

I'd just carry a first-aid kit just in case.

[Never know when a Pokémon will take training a bit too far...]
