Damn but it's been a while since I've done this.
Three Pokemon for sale! Togetic at level twenty-eight, a female, cheerful, name of Beatrice. A Happiny at level twenty-seven, sweet but a little spoiled, female as well. Answers to Mary. And then an Altaria at thirty-six, a male, a little scattered. Name me your price and we'll haggle it out.
On the road again at last with hardly a care in sight. I'm the last you'll hear complaining about a life of traveling freely but lately I've had the feeling of turning a wheel over and over when it's not firm on the axle. Traveling and winning battles and having the money to continue doing so but where are we going after all. Once Pokemon are at the hundredth level can they really grow no stronger? It seems disheartening. I hope that spells out nothing about humans. I shudder to think I could look up and into the future and see a wall where an ever rising road could be.
I've languished these past weeks and only of my own failing. Come and gab and have me make a friend of you. Or a rival if you'd rather.

Though it's interesting to keep in mind that sometimes when a climbing vine reaches a ceiling, it simply opts to grow in a different direction, instead.

I think I grasp what you're saying and it is uplifting. But in imagining what to do with that knowledge I'm stumbling.

You're right. I despise most of the things I already know how to do. So what I need to do is learn how to do something else. Now I feel foolish that it's that simple and I didn't think of it myself.

[Says the woman who was once so egocentric that she couldn't figure out why anyone wouldn't do things her way every time all the time. #character development.]
You might start by picking a friend you admire and seeing where their interests lie. Or solve two of your problems at once, and ask someone you've never met to teach you something they like to do. Then you learn a new skill, and maybe make a new friend to share it with all at once.

For the sake of the search, how would you answer the question of interests?

Personally, I like to travel. A hobby from that might be collecting a souvenir from each place I visited, or taking a picture of myself with some landmark there.
[...or collecting a landmark from each place she visited...]

No offense meant to you, but I don't understand how that could make a person greater.

You might have all the power in the world, but if no one cares to recognize it, then you'll never truly be great. Isn't that how you see it?

Can't you imagine it? Power as tested by natural circumstance. [...you know what, there is kind of an equivalent -] What Pokemon respond to. Not given by inheritance or by a ruler but earned on one's own.
