Why'd you want to get rid of it so badly anyway? It try to bite you? The entry says it's kinda aggressive, but I thought it was only towards the blue Basculines.

No shit. I don't wanna go back to sleep just yet either.

I fought Falkner. He wasn't so tough! Beat the crap outta his bird Pokemon with my Dino dude. It was pretty easy. Right now I'm thinkin' of takin' on that bug kid, how hard is it to squash a couple of bugs? Plus Keisuke's a fire type so he'll just burn those insects to a crisp, no sweat.

I like fire Pokemon. They have the upper hand against grass, metal, and ice, too. [Not that Walter studies, but he remembers what's relevant to his own activities.] There's supposed to be a grass gym in a city here in Kanto, I've heard.

What Pokemon is that Keisuke?

Yeah, they're pretty badass! They look really cool too; kinda goofy when they're younger but when you level'em up they turn up the punk!!

Monferno, but he's gonna evolve soon to Infernape.

My Houndour evolved just yesterday. It strikes an imposing figure, now.

They're pretty hard to find too! I haven't seen anyone else with one either. Too bad, huh? It's really lucky I got him! But there's this thing called 'breeding', so I guess I could give you an egg if this guy ever hooks up with someone.

[Looking up the Pokemon on his side.]

Woah, the hell? It grew up all fierce! I gotta get me one of these some time!

As fierce as they look, supposedly they're all about as sociable as mine. They heed commands well, too. [Pack creatures and all.]

I haven't had any problem with getting my Pokemon to listen to me, but I might still get a Houndour anyway. It's just too cool not to be in my team. What else you got? I don't have that many yet, 'cause I've got high standards for my Pokemon!!

[nnnyawn.] Raticate, Skarmory, and Skorupi. I've got a Volcarona as well, but...it used to belong to someone else, so I don't use it often.

My Dino's from someone else too...kinda weird how I got'im. I just checked my PC and he was in there. But hell like I'm gonna complain. He's pretty kickass, even if he's a bit of a wimp outside battle.

So there's Keisuke, the Dino's called Riley, and Aoi, she's a Buizel.

Yeah. Blame the guy I'm travelling with. He keeps takin' me to these fucking freaky places with weird-ass Pokemon. This one time we went to these crumbly ruins and we found this wall of old plates, or we thought they were plates until they all came to life and started attacking us! We managed to chase off all the fuckers but guess what, he wanted to keep one of those things. And now it's just kinda hovering everywhere and staring at me. Do you know fucking creepy it is?

...I'd wager I do, in fact. [half-mumbled. He's yet to meet a Pokemon quite as unnerving as some of the demons that inhabit Tokyo.] But is it powerful?

Yeah, it can beat the shit outta other Pokemon.

...actually, it almost seems to like doing that. So you can get why I haven't been catching Pokemon lately; my life's crazy enough without all this Twilight Zone crap creepin' in.

So long as it's loyal, that's not a bad thing. Most of these Pokemon seem to like fighting other Pokemon.

Hoy, what's "twilight zone"? Are you talking about these dreams?

Twilight Zone? It's umm...shit. I guess you could say it's like a bunch of creepy short stories that all mess with your head.

...you're having those dreams too? Damn, it's like a fucking nightmare frenzy.

Drowning. [He's not going to get into the specifics, but the general topic isn't personalized enough to be embarrassing. It does make his skin crawl a little, though, and there's an uncomfortable moment of silence after that.] 'Twas too simple, all told.

Drowning's a pretty fucking awful way to die. But dyin' in general sucks balls.
