I haven't had any problem with getting my Pokemon to listen to me, but I might still get a Houndour anyway. It's just too cool not to be in my team. What else you got? I don't have that many yet, 'cause I've got high standards for my Pokemon!!

[nnnyawn.] Raticate, Skarmory, and Skorupi. I've got a Volcarona as well, but...it used to belong to someone else, so I don't use it often.

My Dino's from someone else too...kinda weird how I got'im. I just checked my PC and he was in there. But hell like I'm gonna complain. He's pretty kickass, even if he's a bit of a wimp outside battle.

So there's Keisuke, the Dino's called Riley, and Aoi, she's a Buizel.

Same for my moth. [The finding it in the PC and whatnot.]

Yeah. Blame the guy I'm travelling with. He keeps takin' me to these fucking freaky places with weird-ass Pokemon. This one time we went to these crumbly ruins and we found this wall of old plates, or we thought they were plates until they all came to life and started attacking us! We managed to chase off all the fuckers but guess what, he wanted to keep one of those things. And now it's just kinda hovering everywhere and staring at me. Do you know fucking creepy it is?

...I'd wager I do, in fact. [half-mumbled. He's yet to meet a Pokemon quite as unnerving as some of the demons that inhabit Tokyo.] But is it powerful?

Yeah, it can beat the shit outta other Pokemon.

...actually, it almost seems to like doing that. So you can get why I haven't been catching Pokemon lately; my life's crazy enough without all this Twilight Zone crap creepin' in.

So long as it's loyal, that's not a bad thing. Most of these Pokemon seem to like fighting other Pokemon.

Hoy, what's "twilight zone"? Are you talking about these dreams?

Twilight Zone? It's umm...shit. I guess you could say it's like a bunch of creepy short stories that all mess with your head.

I dunno. Some people are up to weird shit at weird hours.

What did you dream about?

Drowning. [He's not going to get into the specifics, but the general topic isn't personalized enough to be embarrassing. It does make his skin crawl a little, though, and there's an uncomfortable moment of silence after that.] 'Twas too simple, all told.

...that why you wanted to give the fish away?

Drowning's a pretty fucking awful way to die. But dyin' in general sucks balls.

[Walter snorts, actively avoiding the question.]

I can imagine worse. [...Though for him, specifically, the fish made it pretty damn unmatched. Bleargh.]

...that's what my dream was about it. Dying.

But nothing as nice as drowning.

You think these nightmares are gonna stop soon? I'm runnin' outta coffee; I don't think the stuff even works anymore.

The first time, they didn't return after dawn. Whether they'll come back some other night... [no telling.]

I'm thinkin' I'm just gonna screw work and sleep during the afternoons. Get a night job, if those things even exist here in Pokeland. I've taken a few naps in the afternoon and so far, no problems. It's just the night time that's shit.

There's those stores that stay open through the night. I saw plenty of those while passing through Goldenrod.

I'll keep an eye out for'em but Azalea's damn quiet; almost no one heads out at night. But I'll try my luck and see how it goes.

You gonna try and head back to sleep?

Tch! [That was a "no".] We're all awake here, now. I suppose I'll find something to do 'til the sun's up. [Not that he sounds too happy about that, but what are you gonna do.]

Yeah, me too. Maybe I'll go train my Pokemon and finally evolve them. It's better than sittin' here in the dark by myself.
